De Leon Springs State Park is located 6 miles north of DeLand and within an hours drive of Orlando. On January 9-10, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. guests of the park will enjoy a Civil War encampment. This even will include showing how the soldiers drilled, slept and prepared their meals.

The Saint Cloud community Christmas tree lighting and holiday event will be held on December 4, 2009 starting at 5:30pm at the City Hall. The fun will include games and prices plus a chance to have your picture taken with Santa Claus.

Lake Mary will be hosting the 2009 “Holiday in the Park” on December 4 from 6-8pm at the Lake Mary City Hall. The Christmas and Holiday event will include:
- Tree lighting
